This Memorial Day Weekend

Sean and I were up at the house for the long weekend with my parents. The yard is looking fantastic! We got a new dryer and the stairs down to the water are all fixed up. It's looking great for the summer season!

Eagle Lake in the New York Times!

That's Sean and I playing Quiddler.
(You can find the Quiddler deck in the bookcase pictured behind us)

...and as my cousin Ned pointed out, it wasn't the first time the property has been in the Times!

Sean's nature photography

It wasn't all work over Memorial Day. There was some fishing, canoeing, bbqing, a lunch trip to Schroon and check out Sean's nature photos!

The Waterfront

There's a little patch of lawn at the waterfront where you can put out a few chairs and generally hang out. It's shallow enough initially for kids to walk in and play around. Walk out a little further for swimming. Water shoes are recommended. It's a little rocky.

Lifejackets are in the house on the left. The main boathouse is for Baldwin/Harris use only.

The Stairs to the Waterfront

I finally got good shots of the stairs that lead from the house to the waterfront. There's another path that leads back up. It doesn't have stairs but its a bit steep at the top.

Memorial Day Fun!!

We had so much fun over Memorial Day weekend with our friends! We grilled, fished, boated, sunned, birthday cupcaked, and more! We found that our house is a particularly awesome place to:

PLAY FRISBEE!

and

DUNK YOUR HEAD!

A VIDEO tour of downstairs.

Check out my quick tour of the downstairs bedrooms. FYI - We've just added blinds to all the lakeside bedroom windows. Sleep in!

Check out the view of Fort Ticonderoga from the top of Mount Defiance. You can see all the way to Vermont! It's a nice, easy walk for those visiting. The Fort is cool too! Come visit!

Come stay at our lake house!

Our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin is nestled on secluded waterfront property on Eagle Lake, 5 hours north of NYC near Ticonderoga, Lake George, and Lake Champlain. (Only 5 hours from Boston, too!) Perfect for parties, families, and/or family parties, the house can comfortably sleep up to 8 people.

The kitchen has been expanded and now opens up into the main living room. There are new counters and cabinets, an island, even a new dishwasher! The living room has windows on three sides, a fireplace, new vacation-ready furniture, and beautiful new flooring and bright pine paneling.

Outside there's a grill, a deck, croquet, lots of nature, a swimming area, and a boathouse! Explore the lake with our canoe (at your own risk). Can you find the rope swing? There's satellite TV too, just in case you can't live without it...

We're asking for $1700/week. Saturday - Saturday rental. Please contact me directly with questions or interest at: anne underscore harris 9 at hotmail dot com!
